    Balance for Walking (AOA*):

    Improve balance, coordination, walk in all directions, and meet new people who also enjoy walking! Come anytime during the 55 minutes

    Barre Sculpt

    Reshape the body with this total body toning class that integrates Pilates, dance, balance, and strength training to sculpt and cinch from head to toe. This non-impactful 55-minute class targets all major muscle groups while sculpting arms, abs, lifting the seat, and elongating thighs.

    Barre Strength

    Barre Strength mixes elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, with moves that are choreographed to motivating music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you'll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.

    Basic Cardio Plus (AOA)

    Utilizes low impact aerobics in this joint friendly class geared for a low to moderate intensity level. The class will include 35-40 minutes of cardiovascular movement followed by strengthening and stretching exercises. Boot Camp Interval: Boot camp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. You get EVERYTHING you need!

    Body Step (Fall)

    Basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs, is at the heart of BODYSTEP™ – a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs.

    In a BODYSTEP workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, there’s heaps of options so that everyone leaves feeling successful.

    Cardio Splash (AOA*)

    A good high-level aerobic workout in the water without the joint-jarring and muscle-pounding effects of land exercises.


    Unique ride each time designed for people of all fitness levels looking for a high-energy, but challenging non-impact workout.

    Dance Fusion

    A high-intensity cardio dance class that combines various dance styles with sports drills to create a cardio filled class. All levels welcome!

    HIIT Cardio

    This High Intensity Interval Training class will alternate between very intense bouts of exercise and low intensity exercise.

    Interval Conditioning

    Interval training using intense and athletic exercises alternated with full body muscular toning.

    Les Mills BodyPump™

    BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.

    Les Mills BodyCombat™

    BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 740 calories** in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door.

    Les Mills CXWORX™

    Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports—it’s the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in CXWORX™ have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout, trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches and hovers. You will also get into some hip, glute, and lower back exercises.

    Les Mills Grit™

    LES MILLS GRIT™ is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. The HIIT training effect means you burn calories for hours after the workout, increase aerobic fitness, unleash fast-twitch muscle fibers and grow lean muscle tissue, burning fat.

    Les Mills RPM™

    RPM™ is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity.

    With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly spin the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness.

    RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!

    Les Mills Tone™

    LES MILLS TONE is the original 3 in 1 training style - a mix of cardio, resistance and core while playing with different training concepts to ensure everyone gets the best results from their workouts. If you want the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training this is it. Step into a LES MILLS TONE class and you’ll tick off a complete workout in 45 minutes. The challenging mix of lunges, squats, functional training and tubing exercises will help you burn calories and take your fitness to the next level. Also a great foundational class, LES MILLS TONE has a wide variety of options accommodating all fitness levels ensuring everyone leaves the workout feeling successful.

    Pilates Barre

    A Pilates inspired class using principles of Pilates, core conditioning, dance and the science of Physical Therapy to create a structurally balanced and muscularly defined body.

    Step & Strength

    A combination of advanced choreographed stepping patterns with strength training exercises.


    Cardiovascular endurance class featuring advanced choreographed stepping patterns.

    Strength & Balance

    Non-aerobic, low impact class that will improve muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.

    TBC (Total Body Conditioning)

    Combines aerobic conditioning, strength and endurance exercises that improve all muscles of the body.

    Total Body Strength

    This class uses various resistance-training techniques (e.g. dumbbells, stability balls, bands) to improve muscular strength and endurance and develop muscle definition and elevate the body's metabolism by increasing lean muscle mass.

    Tread It!

    Each Tread It! workout combines focused, muscle specific exercises to build strength and tone with 10,15, or 20 minute treadmill intervals to take your cardiovascular fitness to the next level.

    TRX Circuit

    With this challenging, full body workout you will build strength, stamina, and increase total body mobility and stability. The TRX system challenges your stabilizers and your major muscle groups. No prior experience necessary!


    Get hooked on the Turbo high! With cardio kickboxing and body-sculpting dance moves choreographed to the hottest music mixes, you'll get lean and toned—and have a blast doing it! It's high intensity, fast-paced, and totally addicting!


    Combines Latin rhythms into cardiovascular dance exercise to create a routine that is fun and easy to follow.

    Our nationally certified personal trainers look forward to working with you! We will design an individually specialized work out plan to help you reach our wellness goals.

      Trainers will help you maintain dedication and eliminate guesswork from your exercise program. You will receive a training program custom-designed for your individual needs and goals.


    • Mind-Body Training

      One-on-one yoga and/or Pilates sessions allow you the opportunity to receieve personal guidance and instruction, with 100% of the trainer's attention.


    • Partner Training

      Work with a friend, family member or co-worker to meet the same goals working with a trainer.


    • Special Needs Personal Training

      Certified trainers who participated in the ACSM/Exercise Connection certificate are available to work with individuals with special needs to create a personal exercise plan which has been proven to increase focus, improve academic performance and reduce stereotypical behaviors for individuals on the spectrum of autism.     Small Group Training not only saves you money but also provides a supportive, energetic atmosphere to help you achieve your goals. Workouts will be designed based on your group’s goals and needs.     HIIT is a full-body workout. The class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength and endurance.     Obesity is a rising epidemic in the U.S. Currently, over one third of the youth population is struggling with being overweight or obese. At the Y we are combatting this growing problem with classes that are designed to make fitness fun. Enroll your child in a youth health and wellness program today, and secure a healthier future for their tomorrow. In Fit Happens classes, kids and teens learn about becoming and staying active in a positive and fun atmosphere. Participant will be encouraged to develop healthy habits that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

    Youth Group Training 101 will focus on the basics using bodyweight, posture, and mobility to build a good foundation and develop proper form for strength & cardio endurance workouts.

  • Active Adults

    Today's Active Adults are more health conscious than ever before. At the YMCA we've made the health and fitness of our seniors a top priority by providing programs for the spirit, mind and body. Through group exercise classes and aquatic programs that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes, and volunteer activities, the YMCA is bringing Active Adults together for camaraderie, fellowship and fun!

    Balance for Walking is a unique class where you practice a myriad of balance exercises while walking across the gym or parking lot (depending on the weather) at your own pace. These independent exercises are followed by group exercises focusing on balance, endurance, core strength and finally a series of stretches to improve flexibility.

    Utilize low-impact moves in this joint-friendly class. Geared for a low to moderate intensity level, the class will include cardiovascular, strengthening, and stretching exercises.

    In this class you can use the chair as a support and stabilizer during yoga poses, or do all the poses standing up if you so choose! This is the perfect class for all ages and abilities, and will help to improve your physical and mental fitness.

    This class is designed for seniors and for people with special bodily challenges who want to pay close attention to form and function. In FS&C we work to build strength focusing on core, posture and how body parts interact while moving functionally throughout your day. We incorporate bodyweight exercises, dumbbells and balance moves to build strength and endurance. The class ends with 15 minutes of flexibility exercises designed to reduce muscle soreness and improve functionality.

    The NSYMCA joins the nationwide Diabetes Prevention Program that helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk by taking steps to improve their overall health and well-being. Research by the National Institute of Health has shown that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58% overall and 71% in adults over the age of 60.     ENHANCE FITNESS - Arthritis Management Program

    EnhanceFitness is a proven community based senior fitness and arthritis management program. Its purpose is to help older adults become more active, energized, and empowered for independent living.

The program consists of low impact exercise classes that are safe and challenging for older adults of all fitness levels.
