When school is out, the Y is in! NSYMCA School Days Out Camp is being held on Monday, February 15th for the President's Day Holiday. Kids will go on a field trip to see Kung Fu Panda, create crafts, go swimming in the Y's indoor swimming pool and have fun with their friends. Register at the NSYMCA. High Blood Pressure - Medical and Lifestyle Approaches
If you are confused about your blood pressure - we understand. Why is the definition of high blood pressure changing? Why are there so many medications? Is there anything I can do without medication that will lower my blood pressure?
Dr. Elyse Esrig (Internal Medicine) and Dr. Micah Eimer (Cardiology) will try to answer some of these questions for you as they review the latest thinking on high blood pressure. The event begins at 9:30am and is FREE for the community, so bring a friend. Registration is not required.

TRY A TRI SPRINT; HEALTHY HEART CHALLENGE
Join us as we celebrate healthy heart month by participating in the Try a Tri Sprint; Healthy Heart Challenge. Y members who participate will be asked to complete the challenge, which includes swimming 1/2 mile, biking 12.5 miles, and running 3.2 miles, by the end of February. Participants can complete each challenge at home, outdoors or they can utilize the Y's updated facilities to complete the challenge.
