m dock phone app snGREAT! SO WHAT IS NEW ABOUT IT?

Great question! Our new app allows for easier open communication to our members to deliver the best Y experience possible.
For Example...

1. Members can check-in all family members in the same Family membership.

2. You are now able to see your visit history at the Y and are able to print it out for your Health Insurance reimbursements.

3. Real-time facility and program information. Any last minute cancellations will now be sent through the app as long as you allow push notifications.

4. You can now watch your favorite program using a "watchlist". Receive notifications and updates of only the classes and programs that matter to you!

WILL THERE BE MORE UPDATES?

Yes! We are always listening to your feedbacks and looking into ways to better improve our member experience. Here is a list of future updates to come in the next couple of months.

1. Members will be able to register to programs and classes through their Mobile App

Summer Membership http://nsymca.org/summer-membership http://nsymca.org/summer-membership
campSummer is finally upon us and we are looking forward to the BEST SUMMER EVER here at the Y! June 12th is the official start of summer camp and our building and grounds will be buzzing for the next 10 weeks. You may want to adjust your schedule if you anticipate that summer camp activities may interfere with your routine. To ensure you enjoy your summer at the Y with minimal disruption please note the following:

- The camp day runs from 9 am to 4 pm.
- Camp drop-off starts at 8:45am in the southwest side of the parking lot.
- Mid-day pickup/drop-off is at 11:45/12:45 in the same places.
- End of day will be around 4:00 pm.

HOW WILL THIS IMPACT YOU! (IMPACT ON MEMBERS)

  • Lap Swim schedule will be limited during camp hours. Please check the schedule online, the NSYMCA app or call the guest services desk.
  • There will be NO OPEN gym time in between 9am-4pm, Monday - Friday.
  • The Family Locker Room is reserved for camp from 12:30 to 4pm Monday through Friday during the camp season.
  • Kidzone & GameZone hours will remain the same throughout the summer with no anticipated changes. Visit us online for hours.
THE Y WILL BE CLOSED ON THE 4th OF JULY BUT WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE NORTHBROOK 4th OF JULY PARADE. PLEASE JOIN US IN REPRESENTING THE Y!

Drop Off information:
  • ADVENTURERS, NAVIGATORS, SPECIALTY & VOYAGERS: Gate at the far end of the field by the gravel lot. Campers will be met at their cars. Parents do not leave the car. Please stay in the designated car lane for drop off.
  • DANCE, GYMNASTICS, SPORTS & TRAILBLAZERS CAMPS: By the tree just south of the circle drive. Campers will be met at their cars. Parents do not leave the car. Please stay in the designated car lane for drop off.
  • PRESCHOOL, ART & EXTENDED CARE CAMPSParents are required to park and walk their campers in. Bring your camper to the designated drop off area; playground/K-Club room or art room for art camp.
The parking lot will be crowded, so please be patient and drive extra carefully and slowly. We are doing our best to ensure there is as little impact to your visit as possible.

There will be lots of children and "joyful" noise filling our program rooms, fields, and hallways. Remember, on rainy days, they will be occupying every dry room and space they can find if they are not on a field trip. Camp does utilize a number of tents on the outside, but with over 200 children in camp per week, we will need to keep the campers dry, so please be aware of weather conditions.

TRAFFIC REMINDER:
  • There will be a change of traffic flow for the summer. In the parking lot, the lane closest to the building will be for northbound traffic only!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kathy Fielding, VP of Member Engagement & Programs, at kfielding@nsymca.org or 847-272-7250.
