It only takes one person to make a difference in someone’s life – will that person be you?

Every day, the North Suburban YMCA strengthens our Northshore communities for kids, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage. It’s how we help those we reach:

Find the power of our full potential

Achieve our individual and collective promise

          Realize our incredible possibilities

Now more than ever, the Y needs your help to rally around the center of the community and make a commitment to our neighborhoods through our Annual Family Appeal.

For 50+ years the Y has provided youth development programs like camp and afterschool care; health, fitness and family programs; and volunteer and social responsibility programs to the 15 communities we serve. As part of the 50th anniversary strategic initiatives we are also tackling new issues:

▪ Drowning prevention through our swim safety program – 2 Seconds 2 Long Program

▪ Arthritis Management – Enhance Fitness Program

▪ Chronic Disease – Diabetes Prevention Program

▪ And a commitment to Social Responsibility, S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) and diversity and inclusion to programs for those with special needs.

A mom recovering from cancer in need of a place for her kids to be nurtured; a senior on fixed income seeking companionship and a healthier outlook; a child enrolled in camp and afterschool care so their parents can work: all are dependent upon the generosity of donors like you.

They can’t do it alone. One out of five of the people we serve depend on the NSYMCA for help.
We hope that you will help us make a difference in someone’s life in your neighborhood.
