Adult Ballet

Designed for adults with some previous ballet training. Barre combinations as well as center combinations, focusing on stability and balance, are the foundations of this class. Studying ballet can improve posture and overall sense of well-being.

Adult Tap

This class focuses on coordination, balance and basic tap rhythms. Basic warm-ups, rhythmic patterns and across-the-floor combinations are used to enhance musicality and promote a sense of body awareness.

Adult Lyrical Jazz

This new adult class focuses on learning the elements of both classical jazz and lyrical expressive jazz. The class will use popular upbeat music to work on figures such as turns, battements, and small jumps. Participating in dance classes can develop muscle and improve posture and well-being.

Progressing Ballet Technique

18 years and up This technique-only class focuses on developing muscle memory, strength, and stability. A combination of ballet and Pilates is used to find a deeper understanding of the ballet technique and improve students’ skill. Since the pace is slower than in a typical ballet class, students should expect to work harder on finding the proper way to do a step versus learning multiple steps. A basic understanding of ballet is helpful but not required.
